A few weeks after launching an investigation into Crown Resorts Limited and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AusTRAC) regulator has now reportedly announced that it is widening this probe to include rival casino operators SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited and The Star Entertainment Group Limited.

According to a report from the Reuters news service, the revelation from the financial crime watchdog means that companies behind casinos in five of the largest Australian cities are now being probed for potential breaches of federal anti-money laundering and due diligence protocols.

Troubled trio:

Crown Resorts Limited runs the Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth facilities but was refused a gambling license for its new Crown Sydney development earlier this year amid allegations that it may have been complicit in a slew of money laundering offences tied to its utilization of foreign junket firms. This move followed the completion of an investigation c…

Age of Mythology- Retold’s developers are going ‘way beyond’ the definitive editions for Age of Empires- ‘We want to build the game in your head’-

The upcoming Age of Mythology: Retold has been shown off in-depth for the first time today during Microsoft’s New Year, New Age livestream, marking the first showing of the definitive edition of everyone’s favorite Age spinoff since its announcement in late 2022.

The new video segment showed off some of the game’s signature mythological monsters in detail, including the terrible medusas, the flying pegasus scout, and the titan Cerberus using an augmented reality platform. The monsters are pretty dang good looking, part of the overall effort to make Age of Mythology: Retold a real upgrade from the game we played in 2002, including changes to the models as you upgrade through the ages—though they definitely come complete with a stack of classic sounds and twists on the old animations. The Medusa death sound, in particular, is just as I remember it.

That’s just what Age of Mythology: Retold producer Earnest Yuen had to say when I spoke with him about the upcomin…

73M AT&T customers have had their personal data, including passcodes, leaked online-

Telecommunications giant AT&T has confirmed that 7.6 million current and 65.4 million former customers have had their personal data compromised. The data stolen isn’t uniform, but may include, as AT&T detailed, “full name, email address, mailing address, phone number, social security number, date of birth, AT&T account number and passcode.”

AT&T passcodes are four-digit pins, and those belonging to the 7.6 million current customers who had theirs compromised have been reset. AT&T has reached out to everyone affected with an email or letter.

The information is apparently from 2019 or perhaps earlier, which is why so much of it relates to former customers. No one has been blamed or taken credit for the breach yet, and AT&T has said it “does not have evidence of unauthorized access to its systems resulting in theft of the data set.”

This may in fact be the same data offered for sale on a hacking forum back in 2021, as reported by Bleeping Compu…
